Its been awhile since my last post so here is an update of my progress. The picture on the left is my Day 1 photo and the other is today (5 months). My locks are finally sealing on the ends (locking) and they have swollen and are much thicker. I really like that part because I don't have so much scalp showing anymore.
Since my last post I've gone thru a learning process. I've had a few locks that were really thin in the middle and they either broke off or my consultant cut them off. My husband probably thought I was psycho when I was in full tears when I realized that they were going to break off. I think I may have been a little hormonal that day. I learned now that it is not uncommon for this to happen and its just hair and it will grow back. I'm still having to bundle and band when I wash and I'm not crazy about that because the bands sometimes get caught in the ends of my locks when I try to remove them.

First Wash
I finally got the go ahead to wash my hair. Its been almost 6 weeks since my hair has been washed! I was a little nervous at first because my hair is still pretty short in the back. I was able to bundle and band most of my hair but had to use snap clips on the shorter locks. It took me a little while to get it all banded and clipped but otherwise it was not a problem. I washed my hair in the kitchen sink and used a bowl to pour the water over my head to rinse. The bands came off pretty good without getting tangled in my hair. After I took my hair down and separated my locks, I sprayed my hair with an herbal infusion, that my consultant had given me the recipe for. The herbal infusion feels GREAT on my scalp! Here are a few pics.

5 Weeks Old
My babies 5 weeks old tomorrow. My appointment for my retightening was supposed to be for next week but they won't wait. I feel some growth going on. They have really started to curl up on the ends. Here is a pic of how they look now. I will post more pics after my retightning tomorrow.

Followup Appointment
Well my babies are 2 weeks old. My consultant prefers to schedule the follow up appointment at 2 weeks so that she is able to catch any problems. I was lucky because all my babies are still intact. No slippage at all. She tightened up the ones that had growth and changed the middle part to a side part. I love the part on the side. So much cuter.

Today is the day!
I can't believe my install day finally got here. I'm am soooo ready. A few days ago I had my ends trimmed so that my several different lengths of hair would be more uniform. I'm probably working with about 2 to 3 inches of hair now. I hope that the shorter hair will speed up the process. I can't wait to meet my new babies! Well my appointment is in about 2 hrs so I gotta get up and get ready. Look forward to some pics in my next post!

My Sisterlock Consultation
Woo Hoo! I just finished my initial meeting with my Sisterlock Consultant. I could not be more excited!! After answering all my questions, she installed 3 tiny test locks. I then had one final question.... How much is this going to cost me? Well since my hair is 4 inches or less, I qualified for the lowest/base price. $500. I've paid $300 plenty of times for hair that was not my own and would need to be completely redone in about 2 months. This is a BARGIN!! Well we checked our calendars and set the date(s). My babies are due to be born March 22nd and 23rd! 19 days away! It will be just as hard for me as waiting to deliver a real baby. I will post my before and after shots when the day comes!
